May 07 - Mankato -- In a match that had to be moved inside to MATC because of the weather, Mankato East played without fire and fell to Rochester John Marshall, 7-0, in Big 9 conference action. The Cougars lost four very close matches, and just couldn't seem to win the big points when they needed to. It was a step backwards for the Cougars, who early in the season won 3 of their first 5, have since lost 6 of their last 7. The team will need more fire for their next match against Faribault on Thursday and the Big 9 conference tournament on Saturday. The Cougars fell to 2-6 in the Big 9 on the year.
