For players 5th grade on up Rise & Conquer
Camp Frequently
Asked Questions MATC players have advanced far in the last 9 years, closing the distance between themselves and the best in the state. But more work is needed to advance above and beyond, to rise and conquer the foes currently beyond our reach, meaning more hours on the court to reach the next level of our games. With enthusiasm, desire, and drive, MATC players will move to a level not ever reached by other area players. MATC continues to produce some of the top players in the area. We have more players USTA-ranked and ranked higher than ever plus more than 35 players who now play college tennis. Our players do sprints, we use medicine balls, we drill just as other tennis facilities do, but we also watch videos, we learn from the history of the game, we talk strategies and what goes into making champions, we expand the reach of the students game as we bring out the champion within. We analyze their games and teach them how to analyze and handle other player’s games. We do this with a dedicated pursuit of excellence, a reasoned approach to winning, and losing; and an undying pursuit of improvement. This year our camps will include more matchplay competition for the players—using their skills to beat other area and out-of-area players. Our camps are offered at low-cost rates (you can do an entire summer with us—140 hours—for less than what a week—and just 30 hours with them). It’s cheaper than day care and a lot more fun. Three lesson groups will meet Monday through Thursday this summer
Level 3 : 8:00 - 11:30
Advanced varsity level players Player Requirements You are automatically in Level 1 unless you are approved by MATC (call MATC for FREE evaluation at 507-345-777). Planned Daily Schedule
0:00 -- 0:30 Warm-up and stretch & on-court warm-up Details Classes will be held at MATC most often—and players will be informed when this will not be the case. This also means that rain or shine, we will be playing. Thursday will be match day and we will try to play as many different opponents as possible. Check online our F.A.Q. section on our camps or call us if you have any questions. Free You will receive a free MATC t-shirt if you do one or more weeks of camp. Costs When compared with the price of others’ week of tennis camp, our prices are unbelievably affordable—since you’re not paying for room and board and the other extras (140 hours for the same cost of what most camps give you 30). When you divide out the cost per hour of our summer classes, you’ll see it’s cheaper than daycare and much more worthwhile. If you can only make one or two days per week, each stroke/objective will cover approximately two days of lesson, meaning that the best days to make are Monday and/or Wednesday. Cost for 1 day, taken individually=$32 for 3 ½ hours and $16 for 2 hours MATC junior and family members take an additional 5% off the prices below === Advanced Camps === === 2-Hour Camps === Weeks Cost Hours Cost per Hour Cost Hours Cost per Hour
